Started skiing at age 11 but fell in love with the sport in my teens. Realized early on that skiing was a whole lot more important to me than most of the stuff I had been told I should do. Graduated from Colorado Mtn. College with a degree in Ski Area Tech. in 1972 and have been in the ski industry ever since. Fulltime instructor and /or coach for most of the time since with brief stints as operations manager and general manager at both alpine and cross country areas.

Where I do my sport(s):Northern New England
Sponsors:HEAD Skis, Bindings, and Boots because their gear really works! Skis and bindings are rock solid performers and the boots do just what they are supposed to do at any point in their boot line. The Raptor 120 is a user-friendly all mountain surgical tool! The Supershape Is my favorite ski of all time, although the Supershape Magnum is giving it a run fo it's money....

Any Hobbies outside of your specialty:Canoeing and boat camping with my family in the summer. Fly tying. Studying about the mountains and rivers where I live.
What does your specialty mean to you?Skiing as well as fly fishing are my main links to who I am. They don't define who I am, but rather they remind me of who I am and how closely I am connected to the world around me. Life's pretty cool if you don't try to insulate yourself from it.......Maybe I should list Philosophy under hobbies?
